We love to welcome tour groups of any size to the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum. Please email the museum at liwmuseum@lauraingallspepin.com and provide us with information about your tour group including the approximate number of people on the tour. Give us a phone number so we can call you and work out the schedule and a price estimate. Once we have your tour on our calendar, you will be given a phone number for any contact that is necessary between you and the museum prior to the tour.

We offer discounted admission for tour groups, as follows:

School Groups

  • $2 per student.

  • $5 per adult (including teachers & chaperones).

  • Free admission for bus drivers.

Adult Groups

  • $5 admission per adult.

  • Free admission for bus driver.

There are accessible men’s and women’s bathrooms in the museum gift store.

Please allow enough time, before or after visiting the museum, to travel to the Little House Wayside to see the re-creation of the Little House in the Big Woods cabin that is situated on 3 acres of land at the original site of Laura’s birth. The Little House Wayside is 7 miles northwest of the village of Pepin. It is open all day, every day, year around, for self-guided tours.  Admission is free.

The site is maintained during the warm months, though the driveway is not regularly plowed during the winter, and snow depth may not allow the entrance of vehicles.   There are no lights or running water at the site.  Limited restroom facilities.  There is a threshold at the cabin entrance that does not allow easy wheelchair access.
