Vist 'Laura's Little House'
Through the generosity of the Pepin business community and the landowner, the society was fortunate to be able to acquire three acres of land at the original site of Laura's birth. It is on this property that a re-creation of the Little House in the Big Woods cabin was built.
The wayside Cabin is open all day every day year round for self-guided tours. Admission is free. There are no lights or water at the site.
The Little House Wayside Cabin
Located Seven miles northwest of Pepin, Wisconsin is the "Little House Wayside" that includes a re-creation of Laura's 1867 birthplace.
The log cabin is a replica of the now-famous "Little House in the Big Woods". It paints a charming picture of the place where Laura was born.
The wayside is well-maintained, with picnic tables and restroom.
